AOL was one of the most popular email providers for a long time and, as such, many individuals have AOL email accounts.
But other providers have become more popular over the years, and many people are even setting up their own email domains.
If you have an AOL email account on your iPhone and it’s no longer an important address for you, or you have stopped using it entirely, then it may be time to remove that email account from the device.
How to Remove an AOL Email Account from an iPhone 11
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 11 in iOS 14.3.
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Choose the Mail option.
Step 3: Select the Accounts button.
Step 4: Touch the AOL account that you wish to delete.
Step 5: Tap the Delete Account button.
Step 6: Select Delete from My iPhone to confirm that you wish to delete it.
Note that deleting your AOL email account from your iPhone in this way is only going to stop you from seeing messages on the device, or sending them from the account. You will still be able to access your AOL account from a computer or another device.
If you use another app besides the default iOS Mail app to manage your emails, then you will need to follow the instructions for that app to remove the account from the device.
